In June, I’ll be walking 22 miles to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. They’re such an amazing charity – supporting not only those with the disease, but loved ones too.
When I first announced I was doing this, I was amazed at how many people came forward, saying how their lives had been improved by Macmillan. They do a sterling job of making people’s lives better – and it’s a great honour to have the chance to support them.
Bidding for Books
I’ve set myself a big fat target of £500, which I’m hoping to reach, even though I’ve just started and it seems like a long way to go at the moment.
As part of my fund-raising activities, I’m auctioning off a copy of The Case of the Green-Dressed Ghost and The Case of the Deadly Doppelganger, which will be signed by the author (me!). I’m happy to put any note you’d like in there – so feel free to ask it to be made out to a relative, or even someone you know that’s suffering from / has beaten cancer.
How to Bid?
I’ve pinned a tweet to my Twitter profile page. If you leave a comment on this tweet, indicating how much you’d like to bid, that’d be great. You don’t have to like or follow my page to enter – this is all about the charity, y’all!
If you’re the winning bidder, all you have to do is donate the amount on my Just Giving page (I’ll send you the link when the time comes).
What are the T’s & C’s?
The only stipulations are:
- UK residents only
- No non-serious bidders please – this is for charity and we want to raise as much as possible for them!
- Feel free to leave a message too – I always love hearing from people.
- The bidding will close at 4th May, 8pm (UK time) and the winner will be announced via Twitter.
- I’ll mail the books out to the winning bidder as soon as the donation is made.
If You’d Like to Donate
If you’ve already got your copies of the books and you’d just like to make a donation, that’d be amazing! Here’s the link to our JustGiving page - https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/TeamBanksie?utm_medium=email&utm_source=ExactTarget&utm_campaign=20180316_112234 My husband will be doing the walk too, and yes, if we reach our target, I will be posting amusing photos of us looking sweaty and knackered on social media.
